Raw Boreal Forest wildflower honey with 3% royal jelly folded through it. The royal jelly is graded at 2.0% 10-HDA, which is the number the trade actually measures. Thicker and a shade paler than the plain jar.

Never heated: unpasteurized, and never warmed past the temperature inside the hive.

One forest, one family: single-source from the Boreal Forest, Northern Ontario. Never blended.

Lab-tested every harvest: antibiotics, pesticides and glyphosate all come back non-detected.

Certified Kosher: Kosher for Passover.

Flavor Profile

Before you buy: royal jelly is a known allergen. People with asthma, or with an allergy to bees or bee products, can react badly to it, occasionally seriously. If that is you, do not take it without asking a doctor first.

Creamy and white, soft and floral. The mild one the whole family reaches for. Reviewers describe going through it faster than any honey they’ve bought: “the only honey we buy now.”

At its best in tea, coffee, and oatmeal, drizzled over toast or yogurt, or straight off the spoon. Sweet and gentle, never sharp.

What is Royal Jelly

Royal jelly is what the hive feeds a larva it intends to turn into a queen.  It is produced by nurse bees and harvested in tiny quantities, which is why it is graded rather than sold by weight alone.

The grade marker is  10-HDA , a fatty acid unique to royal jelly. Ours is  2.0% . Anything sold without a 10-HDA figure is asking you to take the quality on trust.

Content: 3% royal jelly , blended into raw Boreal Forest wildflower honey. Nothing else goes in.

Texture & What to Expect

It arrives  thick, pale, and creamy : not runny and golden. That’s not a defect; it’s the proof it’s real. Raw honey crystallizes naturally into a white, creamy set when it’s never heated or filtered. The clear amber jars on grocery shelves have been processed to stay liquid. Ours haven’t.

Prefer it runny for a recipe? Stand the jar in warm water for a few minutes and it loosens right up. And because it’s a  single annual harvest , the colour and thickness shift a little year to year, so your jar is unique to this season.

Because nothing is filtered out, you may spot fine traces of  beeswax, pollen and propolis : that’s not sediment, it’s the hive. And because it never gets heated, the natural enzymes stay intact instead of being cooked off.

Why Boreal Forest

It comes from a single apiary deep in the Canadian Boreal Forest: the vast band of wild northern woodland far from farms and cities, in Northern Ontario. The bees forage the wildflowers there, and nothing else goes in.

That distance is the whole point: no conventional farmland next door, no spray drift, no city. It’s what lets the honey stay single-source and taste the same jar after jar.

Single-source and never blended. Your jar traces to the exact fields and bees. The same family has kept these hives for three generations, since the 1970s.

Questions (6)

Is it pasteurized? No. Unpasteurized and never heated above the natural temperature of a beehive. Yours arrives exactly as it left the hive.

Why is my honey white and creamy? Is something wrong? Nothing’s wrong; that’s the proof it’s real. Raw honey crystallizes naturally. Warm the jar gently if you prefer it runny.

What does “single-source” mean? Every jar comes from one specific apiary in the Boreal Forest, never blended with honey from other locations or producers.

Is the container BPA-free? Is the honey gluten-free? Yes to both. The packaging is BPA-free, and honey is naturally gluten-free.

Will my jar look different from my last one? It might, and that’s a good sign. It’s a single annual harvest, so colour and thickness shift a little year to year.

Is honey safe for babies? No. Never give honey to a child under 12 months, raw or pasteurized. That’s a standard infant-botulism precaution and it applies to all honey, from every producer.
