What's in the Box
Six full-size jars, two of each, 3 kg of honey in total. Bought one at a time the same six come to $132.00, so the box takes $6.75 off.
Labels change a little between harvests, so the jars that arrive may not match the photo exactly.
Flavor Profile
Three genuinely different honeys, which is the point of the set. Most people find one of them becomes their jar, and the other two get finished anyway.
Wildflower is the mellow one: soft and floral, the everyday jar. Organic Wildflower is lighter still and more delicate, from a different biome out in Alberta. Buckwheat is the outlier: dark, malty, near molasses, and it tends to land immediately or not at all.
If this is going to someone who takes honey in tea, the two wildflowers are the safe pair and the buckwheat is the one they will talk about.

Texture & What to Expect
Two of the three arrive thick, pale and creamy , not runny and golden. That is not a defect, it is the proof they are real. Raw honey crystallizes naturally into a white creamy set when it is never heated or filtered. Stand the jar in warm water if you prefer it runny.
The buckwheat pours. It stays dark and liquid, because the floral source is different. Nothing has been done to it either way.
Because nothing is filtered out, you may spot fine traces of beeswax, pollen and propolis . That is not sediment, it is the hive. And because none of it is heated, the natural enzymes stay intact instead of being cooked off.
Each jar is a single annual harvest , so colour and thickness shift a little from year to year.

Where the Three Come From
Two of the jars come out of the Canadian Boreal Forest in Northern Ontario: the wildflower from a single apiary deep in the woodland, the buckwheat from organic buckwheat fields in the same region. That distance from farmland and cities is the whole point. No spray drift, no city, and the honey tastes the same jar after jar.
The organic jar comes from the wilds of Northern Alberta. Canadian organic rules require every floral source within a 3 km radius of the hive to be organic too, roughly 28 km² of protected forage, which is why certified-organic Canadian honey is hard to come by at all.
All three are single-source and never blended. Each traces back to its own fields and its own bees. The same family has kept the Ontario hives for three generations, since the 1970s.
What Independent Research Says
Published findings on buckwheat honey as a food, from independent researchers, not from us. We sell honey, not medicine.
A University of Illinois study (J. Agric. Food Chem., 2003) found buckwheat honey taken with tea raised antioxidant levels in participants, and a later review of honey research put buckwheat at the top of the range for antioxidant content. That’s what the colour is telling you: the polyphenols that make it near-black are the same ones being measured.
If you came here from Manuka: published comparisons have measured buckwheat honey’s antimicrobial activity at or above Manuka’s in some assays. Manuka has a rating system (MGO) and buckwheat doesn’t, so there’s no like-for-like number to quote, but the research doesn’t put buckwheat a tier below.
A trial published in Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine compared honey against an over-the-counter cough suppressant and found honey did better on nighttime cough severity and frequency. It used buckwheat honey specifically, which is why it keeps coming up.

What if they don’t like the buckwheat? Then they have two jars of wildflower and one strong opinion, which is roughly how it goes. Buckwheat divides people on purpose: it is dark and malty rather than sweet and floral. Plenty of people who bounce off it on toast keep it for tea and sore throats.
Can I have it shipped straight to the person I’m giving it to? Yes. Enter their address as the shipping address at checkout and the set goes directly to them.
Why are two of the jars white and solid? Is something wrong? Nothing is wrong, and it is worth telling the recipient. Raw honey crystallizes naturally when it is never heated or filtered. Warm the jar gently if they prefer it runny.
Is any of it certified organic? One of the three honeys. The two Organic Wildflower jars are EcoCert-certified, independently audited every year. The other two honeys are raw, single-source and lab-tested, but not certified organic.
Is it Kosher? Yes. All six 500 g glass jars are certified Kosher for Passover , the stricter grade, by COR 902.
Does honey go off? How long do they have to use it? Honey does not spoil. Stored with the lid on, it keeps indefinitely. If it turns pale and solid, that is crystallization, not spoilage.
Is honey safe for babies? No. Never give honey to a child under 12 months, raw or pasteurized. That is a standard infant-botulism precaution and it applies to all honey, from every producer.
