Flavor Profile
Fiery chilli and sweet honey, in balance. The heat sits behind the sweetness rather than in front of it: you taste the honey first, the chilli arrives after. It builds a little rather than hitting all at once, then fades quickly. Warm, not punishing, and built to go on food rather than to be a challenge.
It goes on things at the end of cooking, not into them. Over pizza the moment it leaves the oven, on fried chicken, halloumi or roast carrots, anything salty or charred. Whisked into marinades and dressings with vinegar and oil. And on a cheese board, especially with something sharp.

Texture & What to Expect
Pourable straight from the 500 g squeeze bottle at room temperature, thinner than our jarred honeys because it is built to drizzle one-handed over a hot pan. Deep amber, with visible chilli.
Because the honey is unpasteurized, it can crystallize over time. In a squeeze bottle that means a slower pour, not a spoiled bottle: stand it in warm water for a few minutes and it loosens right up.

Why Boreal Forest
It comes from a single apiary deep in the Canadian Boreal Forest: the vast band of wild northern woodland far from farms and cities, in Northern Ontario. The bees forage the wildflowers there, and nothing else goes in.
That distance is the whole point: no conventional farmland next door, no spray drift, no city. It’s what lets the honey stay single-source and taste the same jar after jar.
Single-source and never blended. Your jar traces to the exact fields and bees. The same family has kept these hives for three generations, since the 1970s.

How hot is it? Warm rather than punishing. It is built to go on food, not to be a challenge. If you eat sriracha comfortably you will be fine.
What is in it? Three things: unpasteurized single-source Boreal Forest wildflower honey, chili peppers, and organic apple cider vinegar. Nothing else.
Is it certified organic? The apple cider vinegar is organic and the honey is single-source Boreal Forest wildflower honey, but the finished bottle is not certified organic. Our certified-organic infusions are Cinnamon, Cacao and Ginseng.
Why is it half price? It has been marked down from $18.50 for some time. If that changes, this page will say so.
Is it safe for babies? No. Never give honey to a child under 12 months, raw or pasteurized. That applies to all honey from every producer.
