Ingredients
We formulate this mask with a short list of natural ingredients: our own Oneroot buckwheat honey and hemp seed oil, plus shea butter and grapefruit peel. Shea butter is rich in vitamins A, E, K and F and helps soften and soothe the skin. Grapefruit peel brings essential oils and phytochemicals that help protect skin from the environment.
Buckwheat honey
The mask is 40% raw buckwheat honey. Honey is a natural humectant and emollient: it increases the skin’s water content and reduces dryness. Its slight acidity helps balance skin’s pH, and buckwheat honey in particular carries a high concentration of antioxidants, for the look of clearer, more even-toned skin.
Hemp seed oil
Our cold-pressed hemp seed oil is light and non-comedogenic, so it moisturises without clogging pores, which suits oily and combination skin. It is close in composition to skin’s own oil and rich in omega-6 fatty acids, including gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), that help condition and soften the skin.

What it Is
A wash-off mask built around our own raw buckwheat honey, about 40% of the formula, and cold-pressed hemp seed oil, with shea butter and grapefruit peel. Suitable for all skin types.
You massage it over damp skin, leave it 15 to 30 minutes, then rinse. Formulated without parabens, sulfates, phthalates or artificial colours, and made with 100% Canadian ingredients. Small particles in the mask are beeswax and propolis from the raw honey.

How to Use
Evenly massage over cleansed, damp skin using your fingers or a brush, avoiding the eyes and lips.
Leave on for 15 to 30 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.
For best results, use two to four times a week, more often in winter and less in summer.

The buckwheat honey in this mask is single-source from the Canadian Boreal Forest in Northern Ontario, the same bees and the same family that fill our honey jars. Buckwheat is the dark, robust one of our honeys, and it is what we build the mask around.
Single-source and never blended, so what goes into the mask traces back to the exact fields and hives.
